Description

10 Blocks is a clean block-placement puzzle where the pressure comes from space, not speed. You place shapes onto a grid, aim to complete lines (or clear space), and try not to lock yourself into a board that can’t accept the next pieces. The “10” concept usually points to a compact ruleset: simple pieces, simple grid, and a surprisingly strict need for planning. What you’re doing each turn Most of the time you’re: placing a set of block shapes onto the board trying to complete rows/columns to clear them keeping the grid open enough to handle awkward future shapes choosing between “safe placements” and “big clear setups” It’s easy to learn because the goal is visible: keep the board playable and clear what you can. The biggest skill: avoiding holes Holes (empty gaps surrounded by blocks) are the long-term enemy. They look harmless now, but later they: force awkward placements reduce your ability to clear full lines turn a good run into a slow collapse A useful rule: a flat board is usually stronger than a tall board with gaps. How to place blocks like a planner Build in zones. Pick one area for messy shapes and keep another area clean for recovery. Prefer placements that create rectangles. Clean rectangular spaces accept more shapes. Don’t chase giant clears too early. Big setups are nice, but survival is nicer. Think one piece ahead. Before placing, imagine where the next shape could go if it’s awkward. Common mistakes that kill good runs filling the center too early creating single-tile holes you can’t fill placing “because it fits” instead of “because it helps clear” letting the board become many small separated pockets When you notice pockets forming, reset your strategy and rebuild one open zone. Mini-challenge for you Two-Zone Discipline: play a run where you keep one corner at least half-open at all times. If it fills completely, restart. It teaches long-run control fast.

Instruction

In 10 Blocks, Click/tap to interact with the grid, then make each move count. Clear objectives by matching/merging correctly while keeping the board usable. The trick is consistency, not perfect reactions. Avoid making single-tile holes; they cause endgame frustration. Once you clear a level, replay it to tighten your route and score better.
